Installation Guide (Cross-Platform & Browsers/Mobile)

TransorAI provides major browser and operating system support, covering Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, as well as mainstream browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).

Quick Guide

  • Supported Platforms: Windows / macOS / Android / iOS

Windows

  1. Open your preferred browser (Chrome / Edge / Firefox).
  2. Visit the extension store page (placeholder links: [Chrome Extension Download Link]()[Edge Extension Download Link]()[Firefox Extension Download Link]()).
  3. Click Add to Browser / Install Extension and confirm permissions in the pop-up window.
  4. Once installed, the extension icon will appear in the browser toolbar. Click the icon and log in to your account (or scan QR code/enter activation code).
  5. Optional settings: default target language, hotkeys, whether to auto-inject translation buttons on pages, etc.

Desktop Client Installation (Installer Placeholder)

  • Installation steps:

    1. Download product_installer_windows.exe or product_installer_windows.msi (placeholder link).
    2. Double-click the installer and follow the prompts to complete installation.
    3. On the first launch, system permissions may be required (e.g., firewall or network access). Please allow the program to access the network to obtain model services and sync settings.
    4. Log in and complete initial setup (language preference, model selection, local inference toggle, etc.).

macOS

Chrome / Safari / Firefox Extension Installation

  1. Visit the corresponding browser extension marketplace or our provided download page (placeholder links: [Chrome Extension Download Link]()[Safari Extension Download Link]()[Firefox Extension Download Link]()).
  2. Click install and authorize the necessary permissions in the browser.
  3. For Safari, some versions require enabling the installed extension in Safari’s “Preferences → Extensions”.

Android

  • Installation steps:

    1. Open Google Play (or your device’s app store), search the app name, or click the placeholder download link.
    2. Tap Install and wait for the download to complete.
    3. On first launch, grant necessary permissions (storage, microphone, screenshot, etc.) to enable OCR, video subtitles, and local file access features.
    4. It is recommended to enable the “floating window/show over other apps” permission to use system-wide text selection translation & floating translation window.

APK Offline Installation (Placeholder)

  • Installation steps and notes:

    1. Download the APK file on your device or transfer it to your device.
    2. In system settings, enable “Allow installation from this source” (path may vary by manufacturer).
    3. Run the APK and follow the prompts to install.
    4. After installation, grant permissions as needed and enable floating window or accessibility services in settings (if text selection relies on Accessibility API).
    5. Security Reminder: Only install APKs from trusted sources. In enterprise environments, prioritize MDM distribution or Google Play private channel.

iOS

  • Installation steps:

    1. Open App Store and search for the app name, or click the placeholder download link.
    2. Tap “Get” and complete installation via Apple ID.
    3. Open the app and log in, granting necessary permissions (microphone, gallery, photo access, etc.).
    4. iOS has more restrictions: some system-level text selection or floating window functions are limited. It is recommended to use iOS extensions/share sheet and keyboard extensions for cross-app text selection translation.

Browser Extension General Configuration and Authorization

  • After first installing the extension, it is recommended to complete the following settings:

    • Log in and sync settings (optional).
    • Configure default target language and register.
    • Set hotkeys (e.g., selection popup, full-page translation).

FAQ & Troubleshooting

  • Unable to launch extension / extension grayed out

    • Check if your browser version supports extensions; in Safari, extensions must be manually enabled.
    • Verify if enterprise security policies or browser policies are blocking third-party extensions.
  • Poor OCR / image recognition performance

    • Try enabling high-accuracy OCR model, or upload clearer images.
    • Check if language packs or models need to be downloaded.
  • No response for mobile text selection

    • Android: Ensure Accessibility Service or floating window permission is granted.
    • iOS: Use share extension or keyboard extension, as system-level text selection is limited.
